Submissions

Publishing in Problématique 

We invite the submission of academic essays and other academic works of quality, no more than 25 pages (c. 6000 words) in length in English or French. We also accept book reviews of no more than 4-5 pages (c. 1000 words) in length, as well as political cartoons or photographs for our online journal.

Each issue of Problématique is organized around a broad theme, and our editorial board often makes suggestions for possible subthemes. However, we also encourage submissions on any issue relevant to politics, culture, and society, as often the themed articles only constitute one part of the journal. Academic essays broadly pertaining to the topic in the areas of political economy, cultural studies, feminist studies, political theory, area studies, postcolonial studies and international relations are especially encouraged.

Master’s students as well as doctoral students are strongly encouraged to submit their academic work.

Submissions should be sent as email attachments to problematiquejournal@gmail.com. They should be double-spaced and in Word format, with proper parenthetical citations or footnoting. All submissions are anonymously reviewed: the author’s name (including contact information) should appear on a separate title page only.
