About the Journal

Founded in 1991, Problématique has long functioned as a graduate forum for the Department of Politics at York University—a department internationally recognized for its politically engaged scholarship and its enduring contributions to Marxist theory. Edited by PhD students and candidates in the department, and peer-reviewed by York-based PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty, Problématique provides graduate students with experience in scholarly publishing while welcoming submissions from authors around the globe.
